Job Requirements
- Documented and demonstrated experience managing various restaurant types including QSR, Casual Dine, Full Service
- Ability to manage operations successfully over multiple annual cycles
- Demonstrated leadership and delegation skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to use technology tools such as MIV, Crunch Time, and Kronos
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data
- Ability to adhere to federal, state, and local safety and health regulations
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including opening and closing shifts
- Ability to foster an inclusive and engaged work environment.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 8-10 years of overall restaurant experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of concurrent multi-unit, multi-concept management experience
- Graduation from a Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute for part of the experience
- Demonstrated team management, delegation, and issue resolution skills
- Knowledge of HMSHost policies, products, service standards, and operations protocols
- Ability to comprehend and communicate instructions, policies, and brand standards
- Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze operational reports
- Experience in hiring, training, and developing associates
- Ability to work varied and rotating shifts, including early mornings and late evenings.
Job Duties
- Ensure all general managers and staff prepare restaurants for next-day opening and execute closing and opening checklists
- Schedule managers to maintain leadership presence on-site during all operating hours
- Support and coach restaurant staff to achieve business goals
- Hold general managers accountable for onboarding, offboarding, and compliance requirements
- Monitor financial and operational data to meet zone goals and assign staff accordingly
- Collaborate with senior directors on issues, decisions, and strategy while communicating company vision
- Manage product availability, order preparation, and vendor communications
- Maintain equipment through routine service and repairs
- Train and evaluate associates to maintain brand standards and operational proficiency
- Implement marketing programs and sales initiatives to drive revenue
- Uphold safety, sanitary, and health standards while training staff and ensuring compliance
- Motivate and recognize staff performance through company recognition initiatives
- Make purchasing decisions in coordination with branch leadership
- Resolve customer and associate issues using judgment and discretion
- Promote diversity and inclusion practices within the zone.
