Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in workplace health and safety or environmental programs
- 3+ years experience in people and performance management or 2+ years Amazon safety experience
- ability to lift up to 49 pounds and perform physical activities during shifts
- ability to stand and walk up to 12 hours
- flexibility to travel 50-70% and work various shifts
- ability to work in variable environments including noise and weather
- must obtain adult first aid, CPR, AED certification within 3 weeks of start date if not already certified
Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in workplace health and safety or environmental programs
- 3+ years of people and performance management experience or 2+ years of Amazon safety experience
- distribution center or manufacturing safety experience preferred
- master’s degree preferred
- certified safety professional preferred
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
- proficient in Microsoft Office
Job Duties
- lead global workplace health and safety program implementation
- conduct comprehensive risk assessments and site audits
- analyze safety data to identify trends and develop preventive measures
- collaborate with operations leadership to integrate safety into business practices
- manage first aid and emergency response programs
- develop and communicate safety leadership plans and expectations
- drive continuous safety innovation and compliance
