Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years in workplace health and safety or environmental programs
  • 3+ years experience in people and performance management or 2+ years Amazon safety experience
  • ability to lift up to 49 pounds and perform physical activities during shifts
  • ability to stand and walk up to 12 hours
  • flexibility to travel 50-70% and work various shifts
  • ability to work in variable environments including noise and weather
  • must obtain adult first aid, CPR, AED certification within 3 weeks of start date if not already certified

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in workplace health and safety or environmental programs
  • 3+ years of people and performance management experience or 2+ years of Amazon safety experience
  • distribution center or manufacturing safety experience preferred
  • master’s degree preferred
  • certified safety professional preferred
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
  • proficient in Microsoft Office

Job Duties

  • lead global workplace health and safety program implementation
  • conduct comprehensive risk assessments and site audits
  • analyze safety data to identify trends and develop preventive measures
  • collaborate with operations leadership to integrate safety into business practices
  • manage first aid and emergency response programs
  • develop and communicate safety leadership plans and expectations
  • drive continuous safety innovation and compliance
