Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in workplace health and safety roles
- Relevant experience in manufacturing, production, or service operations
- Ability to manage and lead people
- Willingness to travel 50-70% of the time
- Ability to work various shifts
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk up to 12 hours per shift
- Ability to work in variable noise and temperature environments
- Willingness to obtain First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within 3 weeks if not already certified
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze safety data and implement improvements
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in workplace health and safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management or 2+ years of Amazon safety experience
- Distribution center or manufacturing safety experience preferred
- Master's degree preferred
- Certified Safety Professional preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including pivot tables and data visualization
- Ability to manage multiple sites remotely
- Adaptability to fast-paced and changing environments
Job Duties
- Lead the implementation of Amazon's Global Workplace Health & Safety Program
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Analyze safety data and incident trends to guide improvements
- Manage first aid programs and coordinate emergency response efforts
- Perform regular site safety audits and ensure compliance with WHS policies
- Collaborate with Operations leadership to integrate safety into all business functions
- Develop and deliver WHS training programs and communication initiatives
