Job Requirements

  • minimum four years related experience and/or equivalent education

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum four years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education
  • two years supervisory experience
  • excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, team building, and problem-solving skills
  • ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • skill in solving practical problems with limited standardization
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • must be at least 21 years old

Job Duties

  • Supervises daily operation of buffet area per established policies and procedures
  • conducts pre-shift meetings and adjusts daily schedules
  • controls shift staffing levels to meet budgeted labor costs
  • supervises employees job performance including coaching and reinforcement
  • ensures proper training and development of subordinates
  • monitors and controls physical and sanitary conditions of assigned areas
  • assists in corrective actions to achieve revenues, operating expenses, and GSRS ratings
  • maintains daily employee attendance and work records
  • inspects food service facilities for compliance with health laws and regulations
  • inspects and tastes prepared foods to maintain quality and sanitation
  • works closely with employees and guests to resolve concerns regarding food quality and service
  • spends majority of time interviewing, training, and selecting employees
  • conducts performance reviews
  • recommends wage increases and promotions
  • provides for safety and security
  • handles employee complaints or grievances
  • recommends disciplinary actions
  • plans and supervises work
  • monitors legal compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws
  • performs other assigned duties
