Job Requirements
- must be able to obtain and maintain valid gaming license
- must be at least 21-years of age
- must be able to obtain and maintain responsible alcohol service certification
- must have the resiliency to deal with difficult guests
- must maintain consistent attendance at training programs
- must perform duties with attention to detail, sanitation and safety
Job Qualifications
- demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external guests
- familiarity and product knowledge of beverages, wines, and garnishes
- ability to anticipate guest needs and respond promptly
- knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices
- experience in a customer service role preferred
Job Duties
- deliver internal and external guest service the Boyd Gaming way
- exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor
- assist guests and team members proactively
- maintain cleanliness and organization of bar stock and supplies
- assist bartenders with replenishing fruit trays, stocking liquor, beers, and wines
- check identification to verify age requirements
- take beverage orders from serving staff or patrons
- demonstrate product knowledge to assist with beverage and food selection
- measure drinks accurately using specified systems
- serve wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with proper garnishes
- mix cocktails and other beverages
- deliver beverage orders promptly
- participate in liquor glassware removal following regulations
- accurately process payments through POS system
- clean and stock glassware and bar equipment
- maintain lounge and bar area cleanliness
- provide responsible alcohol service
- slice and pit fruit for garnishing
- observe health department regulations
- comply with all state, federal, and corporate liquor laws
- use equipment safely and sanitarily
- attend company training programs
- complete opening, closing, and side duties as assigned
- pass training tests to maintain knowledge
- maintain a neat and clean appearance
- handle difficult guests professionally
- follow standard operating procedures
- perform all duties assigned by management
