Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- valid CT driver’s license
- minimum 2 years driving experience
- ability to operate vehicle safely
- ability to adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- good physical condition to handle meal delivery
- reliable and punctual
- clear background check

Job Duties
- Operate program vehicle safely and responsibly
- deliver meals to homebound clients and congregate meal sites as directed
- follow safe food handling procedures including sanitation of vehicle
- monitor client well-being during delivery and notify supervisor of changes
- maintain radio contact with central office
- communicate with Meals on Wheels Coordinator to develop route plans and follow schedule
- ensure vehicle is in good condition and maintain logs and documentation
- check meal count accuracy before loading
- report vehicle problems and arrange for service
- participate in training as directed
