Job Requirements
- Prior experience as a mountain host similar work at another resort or direct customer service is preferred
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Additional language is a plus
- Able to ski or ride at an intermediate or expert level is preferred
- Able to work as part of a team and collaborate accordingly
- Good problem-solving skills
- Friendly and outgoing personality tactful and appropriate

Job Duties
- Provide a first point of positive friendly and welcoming contact between Solitude Mountain Resort and guests
- Greet skiers riders and groups
- Be a source of information regarding all mountain operations facilities activities schedules trends and conditions
- Able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings split shifts occasional evenings weekends and holidays
- Able to work in inclement weather on a regular basis for long periods of time
- Distribute informational materials as needed
- Work at areas of the resort as assigned
- Accomplish tasks in the absence of constant supervision
- Anticipate and resolve guests needs
- Knowledge of the resort emergency operating plans and procedures
- Provide tours for guests around the mountain venue and facilities
- Assist all other mountain departments as needed to help improve delivery of services
