Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • knowledge of or willingness to learn department rules, regulations and policies
  • knowledge of or willingness to learn Florida Statutes governing driver license issues
  • ability to adjust to changing workload and priorities
  • skilled in problem solving techniques
  • ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • ability to use computer systems and software applications

Job Qualifications

  • Customer service experience
  • experience working with Microsoft Word and Outlook to prepare written communication
  • experience researching, reviewing, evaluating and/or analyzing information for accuracy
  • effective oral and written communication skills
  • knowledge of correct spelling, punctuation and grammar usage
  • willingness to learn department rules, regulations and Florida Statutes governing driver license issues

Job Duties

  • Examine and evaluate eligibility and conformity with laws and regulations governing licenses and enforcement activities
  • operate a personal computer and provide clerical assistance to Operations Manager A - SES and HSMV Assistant Section Supervisor - SES
  • draft replies to correspondence from customers requesting information about revocation, suspension, cancellation or disqualification of driving privileges
  • respond to email messages from field offices, courts, and customers requesting information about driving privilege status
  • perform related clerical support duties
