Job Requirements

  • Must be in good physical condition
  • Ability to lift and move objects over 50 pounds
  • Capability to stoop, crouch, and reach
  • Willingness to work outdoors in hot, cold, humid, and inclement weather
  • Ability to follow instructions and operate motor vehicles safely
  • Previous experience or training in mobile equipment operations
  • Must meet all qualifications by closing date
  • Ability to work without more than normal supervision

Job Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to operate small to medium-sized vehicles safely
  • Experience in customer service or assisting individuals with limited mobility
  • Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting over 50 pounds
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Reliability and dependability in the workplace
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • Operate a gasoline or electric powered valet shuttle with seating capacity of six to fourteen passengers
  • Assist patients or employees with limited mobility on and off shuttle vehicles
  • Perform general labor tasks including cleaning engineering storage and equipment rooms
  • Move supplies and materials as required
  • Assist craftsmen such as carpenters and pipe fitters with installation and repair tasks
  • Work safely in various weather conditions and hospital environments
  • Communicate effectively with customers to meet their needs
