Job Requirements

  • ability to adhere to a professional code of ethics as a sworn Deputy Assessor
  • ability to successfully complete pre-employment background checks, drug and alcohol testing, fingerprinting, and reference checks

Job Duties

  • perform clerical duties related to motor vehicle registration and titling
  • ensure applications for registration and titles are correct and complete
  • determine and collect sales tax
  • provide applicants with proper forms and assist in completing routine forms
  • verify serial numbers on out-of-state vehicles
  • operate cash register and collect fees
  • assist dealers with clerical work for titles
  • act as receptionist and direct customers
  • maintain inventory control and handle shipping and receiving of supplies
