Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid driver's license with a safe driving record
  • reliable transportation to and from work
  • ability to pass background check and drug screen
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • availability for flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and extended shifts
  • safety-conscious mindset
  • ability to follow directions and work independently and in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
  • reliable transportation to and from the workplace
  • strong work ethic, communication skills, and positive attitude
  • pass background check and drug screen
  • flexible schedule including availability for nights, weekends, and extended shifts (10+ hours)
  • ability to lift, carry, or move 50 lbs
  • ability to perform regular physical tasks including extended standing, walking on construction sites, and frequently bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • experience in traffic control, flagging, lane closure operation (strongly preferred but not required)
  • post-mounting or sign installation experience (strongly preferred but not required)
  • related certifications (Flagger, Traffic Control, ATSSA, MOT) (strongly preferred but not required)

Job Duties

  • Implement traffic control measures to protect the public and team members
  • set up and dismantle lane closures and other necessary traffic control equipment
  • safely load, unload, and transport signs, cones, and barricades as required
  • direct traffic around and through construction sites using flagging and signaling techniques
  • perform routine safety and maintenance checks on equipment and tools
  • keep the worksite clean and organized by properly disposing of debris and materials
  • accurately complete all job-related paperwork and documentation
  • collaborate effectively with coworkers to maintain a secure and efficient work zone
  • monitor job site conditions and adjust traffic control strategies as needed
  • install and remove ground-mounted traffic signs
  • understand underground utility locate markings
  • safe and proper operation of hand tools
  • may be assigned to assist with other duties as needed
