Job Requirements
- Equivalent to a two-year college degree or specialized business/trade school completion
- minimum two years experience in mortgage loan officer role
- personal smartphone required for multi-factor authentication
- ability to work full time (40 hours per week)
- ability to sit frequently, walk occasionally, and exert up to 10 lbs of force occasionally
- no supervisory responsibilities
- adherence to federal and state mortgage lending regulations
Job Qualifications
- Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of specialized business or trade study
- minimum of two years experience as a mortgage loan officer in a similar organization
- experience with FNMA Desktop Underwriter, FHLMC, FHA, VA, PC Lender, and mortgage processing systems preferred
- strong communication and organizational skills
- ability to work independently and in a team environment
- proficiency in technology and online loan systems
Job Duties
- Originates mortgage loans in assigned territory
- develops referral relationships with realtors, builders, bankers, and other business sources
- counsels customers and takes loan applications
- conducts preliminary underwriting reviews
- submits loan applications to processing and underwriting
- communicates with loan processors and closers to ensure timely documentation
- delivers Good Faith Estimate and TIL disclosures within required timeframe
- assists with processing and loan closing coordination
- cross-sells other credit union services
- keeps informed of mortgage lending trends and market factors
- adheres to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations
