Job Requirements
- equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school
- minimum of two years experience in Mortgage Loan Officer role in similar organization
- personal smartphone for multi-factor authentication
- ability to operate standard office equipment
- full-time availability for 40 hours per week
- commitment to adhere to applicable Federal and State laws and regulations
- ability to lift or move objects up to 10 lbs occasionally
Job Qualifications
- equivalent to a two-year college degree or specialized business or trade school course
- minimum of two years experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer or in a similar role
- proficiency with mortgage processing systems such as FNMA Desktop Underwriter, FHLMC, FHA, VA, PC Lender desired
- strong communication and customer service skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- knowledge of federal and state mortgage lending regulations
Job Duties
- Interview and assist members
- input loan applications into online loan system
- monitor online queue of member originated loans
- review files for completeness and accuracy
- communicate with loan processor/closer regarding outstanding items or additional documentation
- request additional information
- communicate terms and conditions of approved loans to members
- deliver Good Faith Estimate/TIL disclosures within 72 hours of application
- assist with processing and loan closing coordination
- cross-sell other credit union services
- stay informed of current trends in mortgage lending and market factors
- adhere to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
