Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Valid CPR/FR certification
- Minimum three years’ experience in custodial supervision and administrative duties
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods
- Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs as needed
- Ability to climb stairs and perform physical tasks such as bending and kneeling
- Compliance with security procedures for unescorted access privileges
- Ability to work weekends according to shift schedule
- Valid driver’s license with at least three years validity
- Acceptable driving record if applicable
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Valid CPR/FR certification
- Knowledge of green cleaning principles and CIMS certification
- Familiarity with electronic tracking systems such as MAXIMO, SAMS, TAMS, JAMS
- Knowledge of regulatory, hospital, and facility management standards
- Understanding of SDS, Fire and Safety, Hazard Communications, Bloodborne Pathogens regulations
- Minimum three years’ experience in custodial supervision and administrative duties
- Janitorial/custodial experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of building service management and relevant equipment
- Ability to supervise, train, and develop staff
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to operate janitorial equipment safely
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Job Duties
- Comply with all Agency policies and contract specifications
- Manage and supervise custodian assignments for cleaning crews on assigned shifts
- Evaluate and supervise assigned custodial staff
- Maintain positive relationships with staff members
- Assign, oversee, and inspect custodial cleaning activities to meet or exceed quality standards
- Schedule janitorial services according to contract specifications
- Train employees in proper cleaning procedures
- Identify and correct sub-standard cleaning processes and misuse of materials
- Maintain daily logs of cleaning discrepancies
- Report maintenance issues and collaborate with project managers
- Work with inspectors to resolve cleaning problems
- Take corrective actions based on shift manager information
- Review daily inspection reports and notify management of discrepancies
- Suggest operational solutions to shift managers
- Accept and manage service requests with approval
- Complete and submit required daily, weekly, and monthly reports
- Manage and review daily paperwork and timesheets
- Monitor time, attendance, vacation requests, and equipment logs
- Conduct safety training and enforce safety policies
- Attend management meetings and maintain communication with airport operations
- Respond to custodial emergencies promptly
- Assist in implementing emergency and inclement weather plans
- Serve as liaison with community agencies
- Assist in staff development programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
