Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- minimum three years’ supervisory experience in custodial or janitorial services
- valid CPR/First Responder certification
- valid driver’s license from state of residence with at least three years of validity
- acceptable driving record
- ability to work weekends and flexible schedule
- ability to stand or walk for long periods
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- ability to comply with security and safety guidelines
- ability to attend and participate in training and meetings
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- ability to react immediately to emergencies
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- valid CPR/First Responder certification
- knowledge of green cleaning principles and CIMS certification
- knowledge of electronic tracking systems such as MAXIMO, SAMS, TAMS, JAMS
- understanding of regulatory standards, hospital standards, and facility management
- knowledge of SDS, fire and safety, hazard communications and bloodborne pathogens
- minimum three years’ experience in custodial supervision and administrative duties
- demonstrated knowledge of building service management and relevant equipment
- ability to communicate effectively and provide technical support
- ability to train and develop staff
- proficiency in using technology for job duties
- ability to read, write, and speak English
Job Duties
- Comply with all agency policies and procedures and follow contract specifications
- manage and supervise custodian assignments for the cleaning crews for a specific shift/area assigned
- evaluate and supervise assigned custodial staff
- maintain a positive relationship with staff members
- assign, oversee, and inspect the cleaning activities of custodial staff to meet or exceed contract requirements
- schedule janitorial services according to contract specifications
- ensure compliance with dress code and personal hygiene standards
- train employees in proper cleaning procedures
- identify and correct sub-standard cleaning practices
- maintain a daily log of cleaning discrepancies
- report repairs and malfunctions to management
- work with inspectors to resolve cleaning problems
- take corrective action based on inspection reports
- review and act on Chimes (JAMS) inspection reports
- suggest solutions to operational challenges
- complete and submit required reports
- manage and review staff paperwork and timesheets
- monitor attendance and no call/no show incidents
- assist with payroll and badging renewals
- monitor vacation requests
- maintain custodial personnel, supply, and equipment records
- conduct safety training and implement policies
- attend monthly management meetings
- maintain communication with airport operations
- react immediately to custodial emergencies
- implement emergency operation plans
- observe security procedures and ensure staff compliance
- serve as liaison with community agencies
- assist in staff development programs
- perform other duties as assigned
