Job Requirements

  • Reading and writing skills required
  • Ability to perform duties split approximately 50 percent inside and 50 percent outside

Job Duties

  • Check over restaurants from previous close to ensure a safe and secure environment
  • Maintain the appearance of the building's exterior and grounds effectively including landscaping and snow removal
  • Coordinate job duties around other opening team members to ensure efficient preparation for opening
  • Take temperatures of required foods upon delivery accurately and provide documentation on the Quality Control/Safe Food Checklist
  • Put food orders away in cooler following protocols for proper stock rotation
  • Rotate stock in cooler, freezer and dry storage area using the First In-First Out method monitoring shelf life and code dates
  • Maintain a basic working knowledge of the operation of all the equipment in the restaurant
  • Complete scheduled maintenance on all restaurant equipment safely and correctly according to the equipment maintenance calendar
  • Complete daily duties to be ready to work in the kitchen during the lunch shift if applicable
  • Report possible areas of incomplete closing to opening manager
  • Complete other miscellaneous tasks assigned by the manager on duty
