Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of baking experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Ability to work from 2 am to mid-morning including weekends and holidays
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and take direction
  • Flexibility to adapt to early morning schedules and fast-paced environments

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ year of professional baking experience preferably in bread viennoiserie or pastry production
  • Strong understanding of baking processes including proofing fermentation and lamination preferred but not required
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a high-volume fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Flexibility to work early mornings weekends and holidays as needed
  • A team-oriented mindset and willingness to take direction
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

Job Duties

  • Prepare proof and bake a variety of baked goods and viennoiserie following established recipes and production guidelines
  • Execute baking schedules to ensure all products are ready for delivery on time without compromising quality
  • Monitor and maintain consistency in taste texture and presentation across all baked goods
  • Safely operate mixers ovens proofers and other baking equipment
  • Maintain a clean organized and food-safe workspace adhering to hygiene and safety standards
  • Work closely with other bakers and kitchen staff to meet production goals efficiently
  • Identify and address any issues during the baking process to ensure quality and timeliness
