Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a 4 Diamond or 4 Star hotel or restaurant
  • Knowledge of pastry and baked goods preparation
  • Solid knife handling skills
  • Ability to calculate recipe yields, serving sizes, weight and temperature conversions
  • Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries for all food and beverage outlets per established recipes
  • Ensure all food items are plated professionally with attention to detail
  • Assist in determining the appropriate quantity of baked goods for each outlet
  • Conduct taste tests on pastry items to ensure consistent quality
  • Complete production records accurately and timely
  • Assist in developing new products for a la carte and catering menus on a rotating basis
  • Clean equipment and workstations thoroughly during and at the end of each shift to maintain proper sanitation and orderliness
