Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One to three months related experience or training or equivalent combination preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift frequently up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform hard manual labor
  • Willingness to work Monday to Friday with two mandatory Saturdays per month
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends
  • Ability to comply with safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to work in cold and wet conditions
  • Ability to handle physical demands including bending and twisting

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One to three months related experience or equivalent training preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to write simple correspondence preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Bilingual skills preferred
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions

Job Duties

  • Follow proper department procedures outlined in training manuals
  • Understand bacon specification requirements
  • Follow procedures outlined by supervisors and leads
  • Adhere to attendance and punctuality rules
  • Comply with food security guidelines
  • Follow safety guidelines as per the Safety Handbook
  • Maintain accurate counts
  • Adhere to product specifications
  • Work at a pace consistent with line speed
  • Keep accurate records as needed
  • Strict compliance with sanitation requirements
  • Minimize scrap at all times
  • Sweep floor and aisles as instructed
  • Keep work area free of scraps
  • Wash building and equipment as scheduled
  • Pick up and dispose of trash
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining office area
