Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved Health Unit Coordinator vocational training course and basic arrhythmia course preferred
- One year of patient care experience preferred
- One year equivalent clerical experience in a medical setting preferred
- Successful completion of rhythm identification training and EKG telemetry competency test
- On the job training provided
- Experienced techs may bypass training by passing competency test
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Perform receptionist and communications duties on the patient care unit
- Observe telemetry monitoring and recognition of cardiac dysrhythmias
- Support care delivery and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups
- Regularly utilize independent decision-making capacities and strong interpersonal skills
- Collaborate with Clinical Director and charge nurse for optimal care delivery and patient services
