Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year experience utilizing clerical, computer and receptionist skills
  • Successful completion or progress in Basic Arrhythmia recognition course
  • Ability to demonstrate technical competence in cardiac monitoring
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work quickly and accurately
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Job Qualifications

  • One year experience utilizing clerical, computer and receptionist skills
  • Basic Arrhythmia recognition course or equivalent experience
  • Completion or willingness to complete arrhythmia recognition certification within six months
  • Ability to demonstrate 75 percent competence on proficiency exam annually
  • Medical terminology knowledge
  • Professional communication skills with physicians, staff, and patients
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational and multitasking skills

Job Duties

  • Maintain constant observation and documentation of cardiac rhythms
  • Recognize normal and abnormal cardiac patterns
  • Report significant findings promptly
  • Perform unit secretary duties including receptionist and liaison responsibilities
  • Facilitate communication for telemetry patient locations
  • Assist nursing and medical staff with clerical support
  • Ensure accurate telemetry patient monitoring and notifications
