Job Requirements

  • Ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Maintain a professional appearance in a clean uniform
  • Previous wine service experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work during restaurant operating hours
  • Commitment to upholding wine program standards and procedures

  • Ability to educate guests with expertise and approachability
  • Sensitive palate and extraordinary sense of smell
  • Responsive to guest complaints and unusual service situations
  • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to support service captains on the floor

Job Duties

  • Work with the national director of wine and beverage to maintain wine program standards
  • Coordinate with suppliers and distributors to receive wine allocations and new releases
  • Follow budgets and guidelines for all wine purchases
  • Update and maintain accuracy of wine lists including vintages, pricing, and formatting
  • Manage wine features and reprint wine lists weekly
  • Communicate Micros needs and changes to managers
  • Assist with wine selections for private events and support wine events and activations
  • Participate in monthly inventory and inventory reconciliation
  • Engage in monthly wine education sessions
  • Organize weekly wine shipments
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all wine storage areas
  • Track flawed bottles
  • Support training by shadowing new employees
  • Lead by example following beverage direction and service standards
