Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years experience as a server or cocktail server or one year in fine dining
  • One year experience in marketing nightclubs or related fields preferred
  • Experience with social media platforms
  • Working knowledge of spirits, wine, and food
  • Basic computer literacy and POS and cash handling skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to read and speak English proficiently
  • Team player capable of handling high stress and volume
  • Ability to follow directions and make quick decisions
  • Positive and energetic attitude
  • Ability to perform duties with great care and attention
  • Professionally groomed to company standards
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk unaided for extended periods
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Possession of alcohol awareness and food handler safety training cards
  • Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines
  • Must regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Two years experience as a server or cocktail server in a similar high-volume restaurant environment or one year experience in a fine dining establishment
  • One year experience in marketing nightclubs or restaurants or related retail or marketing internship or relevance university marketing coursework preferred
  • Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter and active participation in social media
  • Working knowledge of spirits, wine and food
  • Basic computer skills and experience with POS systems and cash handling
  • Good communication skills
  • Multilingual is a plus
  • Must be able to speak and read English proficiently
  • Ability to work as part of a team in high-stress and high-volume environments
  • Ability to follow directions well, make quick decisions, and stay organized under pressure
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, energetic, and willing to learn
  • Ability to perform a variety of duties with extreme care, concern and detail
  • Professionally groomed in accordance with department grooming standards

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome
  • Guide guests through all phases of their experience
  • Exhibit proper menu knowledge, selling techniques and service delivery of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages and any menu items offered
  • Deliver to guest table according to steps of service
  • Assist in running items, bussing tables and setting tables when necessary
  • Provide direction to and assistance to support staff to ensure proper service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of side stations, tables and POS stations
  • Anticipate guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency
  • Maintain a level of professionalism that encourages guests to return
  • Bid farewell to guests, using their name when known, and encourage them to return
  • Perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
  • Adhere to weekly table and guest list requirements
  • Encourage guests to make weekly table reservations
  • Assist in developing restaurant database through networking and completing data cards
  • Build and establish a personal clientele
  • Participate in weekly marketing requirements
  • Effectively communicate with management, bartenders, and service staff to address any issues or needs requested by guests or other employees
  • Work as a team, assisting all guests' and employees' needs and inquiries
  • Always be positive, show enthusiasm, be humble, be thankful, and be respectful to all team members
  • Follow all procedures and policies set forth by the company, department, and health and safety regulations
  • Conform to department grooming standards, uniform or attire, and jewelry policy
  • Be responsible for a cash bank or impressed bank issued at the beginning of service
