Job Requirements

  • Located in or near Waltham, MA
  • valid and unrestricted driver’s license (CDL preferred)
  • ability to drive a 39' Class A Winnebago
  • at least one year of related experience in transport, customer service, or health promotion
  • thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
  • ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions
  • ability to communicate effectively and work independently
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant software
  • ability to lift 40 lbs
  • adequate auto insurance for job-related travel

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of related experience in transport, customer service, or health promotion/education
  • valid and unrestricted driver’s license (CDL preferred)
  • ability to drive a 39' Class A Winnebago
  • thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
  • ability to operate required tools and equipment
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicable software
  • ability to lift 40 lbs
  • effective relationship-building skills
  • ability to make independent judgments

Job Duties

  • Drive mobile unit to scheduled community events, locations, and destinations to support member care
  • inspect mobile unit before and after trips and report any defects
  • maneuver mobile unit safely including backing and navigating tight spaces
  • perform minor vehicle maintenance and keep unit clean
  • adhere to safety and security standards while driving
  • assess member eligibility for mobile medical services and provide explanations
  • register members in electronic medical records and schedule services
  • run reports and transmit discharge summaries
  • assist members with enrollment paperwork and coordinate with enrollment teams
  • resolve issues related to member access to services
  • educate other agencies about mobile services and access criteria
  • establish and maintain relationships with community and social resources
  • provide technical assistance and guidance to staff as needed
  • travel locally up to 75% based on operational requirements
