Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a food service or catering environment
- knowledge of nutrition principles, especially plant-based diets
- ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- experience in food preparation and kitchen duties
- knowledge of plant-based and vegan cooking techniques
- ability to follow health and safety regulations
- good communication skills
- ability to work as part of a team
Job Duties
- participate in the production of food for all Metro events including on-site staff meals and food truck events
- follow all health, safety and hygiene codes and standards
- participate in the daily cleaning of all Community Kitchen equipment
- assist in breaking down and cleaning the food truck at the end of each shift
- communicate ideas and concerns to the Mobile Chef in a timely manner
- perform other duties as assigned
