Job Requirements

  • pass an extensive background check
  • have and maintain a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and regular driver's license
  • frequent travel within the State of Mississippi
  • ability to perform physical tasks associated with event setup and breakdown
  • strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • time management skills
  • organizational skills
  • proficiency in computer operations including internet applications and email
  • knowledge of workforce or employment programs
  • familiarity with basic computer networking

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited 4-year college or university in Business Administration, Workforce Development, Information Technology, or a related field
  • two years of experience operating a commercial, promotional, or outreach vehicle or trailer
  • two years of experience coordinating public events, job fairs, or community outreach programs
  • good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • strong computer skills including proficiency with internet-based applications and email
  • working knowledge of workforce or employment programs
  • familiarity with basic computer networking, wifi setup, and troubleshooting

Job Duties

  • operate and maintain the Mobile WIN Job Center vehicle according to safety regulations
  • drive the mobile unit to job fairs, outreach events, and other locations statewide
  • coordinate and maintain the mobile unit's travel and event calendar
  • set up and dismantle equipment, technology, and materials for events
  • perform technical setup of computers, networking, and related equipment
  • load, unload, and transport equipment and materials up to 50 pounds
  • provide onsite assistance to employers, job seekers, and staff during events
