Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • current NJ paramedic certification
  • minimum 1 year active paramedic field experience
  • graduate of recognized paramedic training program
  • current BLS CPR certification
  • current ACLS certification
  • current PALS or PEPP certification
  • EVOC certification
  • valid driver’s license recognized by New Jersey
  • driving record meeting insurance standards
  • completion of annual clinical competencies, fit test, PPD screening, and required training by deadlines
  • competency with telehealth platforms and remote monitoring
  • ability to document accurately in the EMR

Job Qualifications

  • Current NJ paramedic certification
  • minimum 1 year field experience as an active paramedic
  • graduate of a recognized paramedic training program
  • current BLS CPR certification
  • current American Heart Association ACLS certification
  • current AHA PALS or AAP PEPP certification
  • EVOC certification
  • valid New Jersey driver’s license
  • competency with telemedicine platforms, remote monitoring device setup, and documentation in the EMR

Job Duties

  • Conducts comprehensive in-home patient assessments, medication reconciliation, and administers treatments within the paramedic scope of practice
  • identifies clinical changes and documents plan of care
  • completes accurate clinical documentation in the EMR/ePCR
  • responds to quality assurance and medical oversight requests
  • facilitates telehealth visits with providers, sets up and manages remote monitoring devices
  • maintains MIH vehicles, durable medical equipment, and supply inventory
  • performs point-of-care testing and specimen collection per protocol
  • participates in patient/caregiver education, community outreach, and program improvement activities
  • cross-trains with hospital-at-home staff
