Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in beverage service or bartending
- Knowledge of craft cocktails
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Team player with willingness to assist co-workers
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods
- Capacity to lift at least 30 lbs
- Familiarity with cash handling and POS systems
- Customer service-oriented mindset
Job Duties
- Serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner
- Prepare beverages for servers to supply to guests
- Act as cashier for the lounge
- Maintain proper and adequate bar set-up daily including requisitioning and stocking supplies
- Manage stock, cutting, and storing of fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables
- Greet guests, promote and document drink orders, mix and present drinks using standard recipes
- Abide by all state, federal and corporate regulations regarding alcohol service
- Process sales accurately using register and maintain accountability for beverages served
- Handle cash transactions including receiving, making change, balancing money
- Lock up and store beverage, food and equipment items securely
- Take and serve guest orders promptly
- Perform assigned set-up duties
- Answer guest questions about the menu
- Clear and reset patio table settings
- Transport dirty tableware for cleaning
- Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations
- Operate electronic cash register/POS system
- Check food before serving for quality and portion
- Comply with attendance rules and perform other job-related duties as assigned
