Job Requirements

  • Ability to safely handle 50-pound bags and boxes of raw material
  • Ability to safely operate mixing and packaging equipment
  • Ability to follow precise instructions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for effective communication
  • Ability to safely navigate stairs and ladders
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Three months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to communicate with individuals and small groups
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Knowledge or ability to gain knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and RedZone software
  • Ability to complete the initial Alsip Mixer Operator Training checklist and all tasks successfully as documented on the position scorecard

Job Duties

  • Verify and ensure accurate counts of raw materials needed to produce a blended product
  • Addition of raw materials to the blender following the manufacturing sequence on the formula
  • Discharging blended product from the blender using the prescribed screen size
  • Following specified customer sampling requirements of blended product
  • Filling out daily schedule control to document production, quality, and performance
  • Cleaning and sanitizing the blender, sifter and support equipment including work area
  • Disposal of trash and garbage containers
  • Adherence to all department procedures and GMP's
  • Ability to maintain all performance standards
  • Other duties as assigned
