Job Duties
- Receives production schedule daily from the planner
- assures accurate measurement and ingredient introduction for each recipe batch as outlined in the production schedule
- inspects product for quality prior to mixing ingredients
- follows the mixing process and procedure guidelines at all times
- ensures timely supply of mixed ingredients to packaging line to maintain workflow
- responsible for the mixer set-up and running pumps to the filler
- conducts pre and post operation of all equipment on a daily basis
- performs equipment wash down before changeover to a different recipe
- provides a sample for each batch to Quality Control for testing
- reports equipment issues to maintenance and production supervisors
- reports outages of ingredients to supervisor prior to mixing products
- demonstrates knowledge of pump assembly and disassembly
- pushes and pulls tubs, boxes or other containers in the production process
- scrubs and washes pans, carts and production equipment as needed
- supplies any materials needed in production operations
- stands during entire shift except for breaks
- cleans and sanitizes the entire production room area including machines, equipment, floors and walls
- adheres to company policy and procedure
- adheres to SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and OSHA guidelines and procedures
- supports Food Safety Management System to ensure policies, procedures, documentation and behaviors are consistently followed and reports inconsistencies to supervisor
