Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience operating mixers or similar equipment preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull mixing bowls
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Understanding of GMP and food safety standards
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and participate in safety meetings

Job Duties

  • Operate mixers, scales, and mixer related systems
  • Operate mixer control timers
  • Prepare and label premixes
  • Check premixes to ensure correct premix formula and weight
  • Prepare and add various manually scaled non-premix ingredients at mixer
  • Adjust formulas within given formula parameters
  • Control temperature and consistency of the dough
  • Make dough quality decisions to minimize waste and sub-standard mixes within parameters
  • Perform equipment and GMP inspections prior to equipment operation
  • Fill out required inspection forms, mix sheets and other production documentation
  • Assist in moving dough troughs to and from depositing area
  • Perform required plant safety inspections and participate in safety, GMP, Process Improvement teams, and other plant related committee meetings
  • Comply with all safety, GMP, plant policies, and other associate and food safety requirements
  • Perform duties of light machine operator or general labor if qualified and trained
  • Perform other job duties as assigned
