Job Requirements
- licensed or able to become licensed in New Mexico
- dvm degree from an accredited institution
- ability to perform duties related to both small and large animals
- strong problem-solving skills
- excellent communication abilities
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and on-call shifts
Job Qualifications
- doctor of veterinary medicine (dvm) degree from an accredited school
- licensed or eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in New Mexico
- experience or interest in both small and large animal medicine
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work collaboratively within a team
- commitment to compassionate animal care
Job Duties
- perform physical exams and wellness checks on small and large animals
- diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries
- administer vaccinations and preventive care
- conduct surgical procedures
- advise clients on animal health and nutrition
- collaborate with veterinary team members to develop treatment plans
- maintain accurate medical records
