Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED diploma
- Valid FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate
- Two years experience in a flight operation center
- Two years aviation experience
- Basic understanding of obtaining flight operations permits for foreign states
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to pass background check, drug test, and CHRC
- Proficient with Microsoft products
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Regular attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED diploma
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate
- Two years experience in a flight operation center
- Two years aviation experience
- Basic understanding of flight operations permits for foreign states
- Preferred knowledge of U.S. military contracts for flight operations
- Exceptional communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English
- Basic foreign language skills preferred
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Ability to pass a ten year background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check
- Strong technical knowledge of aircraft performance, navigation, and weather
- Proficient with Microsoft products
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
Job Duties
- Interface with sales on trip feasibility to ensure mission can be accomplished considering all constraints
- Provide route analysis including projected in route times, fuel burn projections, mandatory way points, and route constraints
- Identify required overflight and landing permissions and provide expected lead times for permits
- Identify insurance requirements for special cargo and high-risk area operations
- Conduct aircraft performance and airport suitability checks for each leg to ensure payload requirements are met
- Provide maximum expected payload based on constraints
- Manage permits for dangerous goods, coordinating with vendors, Civil Aviation Authority, Diplomatic Authorities, and military
- Maintain documentation for permissions
- Coordinate with corporate attorneys on trip planning issues
- Build confirmed trips in AIMS and Navblue computer systems
- Coordinate with Maintenance Control, Sales, Ground Operations, and Crew Scheduling for aircraft and crew assignments
- Advise the Director of SOC, Director of Operations, and Chief Pilot on unusual requests
- Attend daily operations meetings to discuss operational issues
- Coordinate with SOC support for aircraft and airline document maintenance
- Work with the Department of Defense on military missions
- Secure diplomatic clearances as needed
- Work flexible hours including shift work to cover 24/7 operations
- Act as dispatcher as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
