National Western Stock Show (NWSS) is a renowned organization recognized for hosting one of the largest stock show and rodeo events globally, attracting over 700,000 visitors each January to its expansive complex. Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, agriculture, business/marketing, education, or a related field preferred
  • experience in event coordination, program management, or nonprofit support roles
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • experience with donor or CRM databases preferred
  • willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, and extended hours during the National Western Stock Show

Job Duties

  • assist in planning, executing, and evaluating mission-aligned programs supporting agriculture, youth development, education, and community impact
  • serve as a liaison to mission program participants, partner organizations, and internal teams
  • track program metrics, participant engagement, and impact outcomes
  • provide administrative and logistical support for program scheduling, documentation, and coordination
  • support the administration of NWSS scholarship programs, including application management, tracking materials, and coordinating review committees
  • maintain accurate scholarship records, award documentation, and student correspondence
  • assist in developing scholarship communications, outreach materials, and web content
  • coordinate scholarship recipient engagement opportunities during the Stock Show and year-round events
  • provide planning and logistical support for the Citizen of the West Dinner and related recognition activities
  • assist with timelines, vendor coordination, guest communications, volunteer support, and on-site event execution
  • support additional mission-based events, receptions, meetings, donor gatherings, and educational programs
  • collaborate with the Events, Development, and Communications teams to ensure seamless coordination and brand-aligned presentation
  • support outreach initiatives that strengthen relationships with schools, youth organizations, agricultural groups, and community partners
  • assist with the development of engagement strategies and program materials
  • represent NWSS at community events, fairs, conferences, and educational activities as needed
  • maintain community partner databases and communication schedules
  • assist the Development team with donor research, stewardship activities, and database updates
  • coordinate donor communications, acknowledgements, and event invitations
  • help implement cultivation and stewardship plans for donors engaged in mission programming and scholarship giving
  • support the creation of donor reports, impact summaries, and recognition materials
