Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food and beverage service preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Must be at least 19 years old or meet state age requirements for alcohol service
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Physical stamina to carry trays and perform manual tasks
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must comply with all health and safety regulations
- Ability to handle cash and operate point of sale system
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
- Ability to speak, read, and write the English language to communicate with guests, take orders, understand the menu, and promote specials
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items
- Ability to transport trays through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift
- Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
- Maintain a positive attitude throughout shift
- Work as a team player
- Ability to remain motivated during busy and slow periods within shift
- Cash handling and self-banking skills with ability to maintain funds and accurately count back change
- Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check
Job Duties
- Greets guests in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner and explains the Beer Program, all specials, promotions, and specific Miller Time Pub and Grill features
- Must learn all menu items and the ability to understand the pairing of the beer with those menu items
- Takes orders, reciting selection of all call and premium brands as requested, requires memorization of all available drinks, beer, and taps
- Inputs orders into Point of Sale system to inform bartender and the HOH of orders that need to be made
- Maintains cleanliness of guest tables and assists with the bar area
- Replenishes beverages as requested, frequently checking back with guest to inquire about satisfaction
- Presents the guest with the check promptly, thanking them and inviting them to return in a friendly demeanor
- Performs general cleaning tasks, using standard cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards
