Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
- Basic knowledge of alcoholic beverages
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to memorize menu items and drink selections
- Physical ability to carry trays and stand for long periods
- Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
- Ability to speak, read, and write English to communicate with guests, take orders, understand the menu, and promote specials
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items
- Ability to transport trays through a crowded room continuously
- Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- Maintain a positive attitude throughout shift
- Work as a team player
- Ability to remain motivated during busy and slow periods within shift
- Cash handling and self-banking position skills
- Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures to pre-check orders and close checks
Job Duties
- Greets guests in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner and explains the Beer Program, all specials, promotions, and specific Miller Time Pub and Grill features
- Must learn all menu items and understand the pairing of beer with menu items
- Takes orders, reciting selection of all call and premium brands as requested, requires memorization of all available drinks, beer, and taps
- Inputs orders into Point of Sale system to inform bartender and the HOH of orders that need to be made
- Maintains cleanliness of guest tables and assists with the bar area
- Replenishes beverages as requested, frequently checking back with guest to inquire about satisfaction
- Presents the guest with the check promptly, thanking them and inviting them to return in a friendly demeanor
- Performs general cleaning tasks, using standard cleaning products as assigned to adhere to health standards
