Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food and beverage service preferred
- Basic knowledge of alcoholic beverages
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to memorize menu and beverage selections
- Physical ability to carry trays and stand for extended periods
- Adherence to liquor laws and corporate policies
- Positive attitude and teamwork skills
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Ability to use Point of Sale systems
Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
- Ability to speak, read, and write English to communicate with guests, take orders, understand the menu, and promote specials
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items
- Ability to transport trays through a crowded room continuously throughout shift
- Adherence to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations
- Maintain a positive attitude throughout shift
- Work as a team player
- Ability to remain motivated during busy and slow periods
- Cash handling and self-banking ability
- Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures to pre-check and close out orders
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner and explain the Beer Program, all specials, promotions, and specific Miller Time Pub and Grill features
- Learn all menu items and understand the pairing of the beer with those menu items
- Take orders, reciting selection of all call and premium brands as requested, memorizing all available drinks, beer, and taps
- Input orders into Point of Sale system to inform bartender and the HOH of orders that need to be made
- Maintain cleanliness of guest tables and assist with the bar area
- Replenish beverages as requested, frequently checking back with guest to inquire about satisfaction
- Present the guest with the check promptly, thanking them and inviting them to return in a friendly demeanor
- Perform general cleaning tasks, using standard cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards
