Job Requirements

  • Previous cooking experience required
  • One to two years in a similar position preferred
  • Culinary or apprenticeship program preferred
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Ability to work varied schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to use all kitchen equipment
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to work in confined spaces with high noise levels and temperature extremes
  • Ability to obtain applicable sanitation, liquor service, or food service certifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Monitor product storage, portion sizes, and special items like stocks and sauces
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas to meet Health Department regulations
  • Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and operational
  • Uphold high standards of food production and presentation
  • Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices
  • Manage station setup, breakdown, and prep work
  • Follow recipe specifications for all food preparation
