Job Requirements
- 1-2 years of bartending experience
- must have basic knowledge of beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
- ability to obtain any government required license or certificate
- CPR certification and/or First Aid Training preferred
- bartending certificate required
- TIPS certification required
- basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes
- basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, balance sheets, and vouchers and to communicate with guests and take orders
- sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnishes, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock
- ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items
- ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time
- must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure

Job Duties
- Set up the bar daily with necessary supplies and check par levels of beer, wine, and spirits
- Stock, cut, and store fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to maintain quality
- Greet guests courteously, take drink orders, mix and garnish drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- Update par sheets during shifts for accuracy and accountability
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar and guest areas throughout the shift
- Handle cash transactions, verify charges, record charges, and balance money
- Lock and store all beverages, food, and equipment items
- Follow liquor laws and regulations for serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests, and assist security with disorderly guests
