Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • 1-2 years of bartending experience
  • bartending certificate
  • TIPS certification
  • ability to work varied schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work under pressure
  • ability to obtain any government required license
  • basic math skills
  • basic English writing skills
  • sufficient manual dexterity
  • ability to stand for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of bartending experience
  • basic knowledge of beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
  • ability to obtain any government required license or certificate
  • bartending certificate required
  • TIPS certification required
  • CPR certification and/or First Aid Training preferred
  • basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and manage transactions
  • basic English language writing skills for requisitions and communication
  • sufficient manual dexterity
  • ability to remember and promote menu items
  • ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods

Job Duties

  • Set up the bar daily with necessary supplies and check par levels of beer, wine, and spirits
  • Stock, cut, and store fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to maintain quality
  • Greet guests courteously, take drink orders, mix and garnish drinks using standard recipes and portion control
  • Update par sheets during shifts for accuracy and accountability
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar and guest areas throughout the shift
  • Handle cash transactions, verify charges, record charges, and balance money
  • Lock and store all beverages, food, and equipment items
  • Follow liquor laws and regulations for serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests, and assist security with disorderly guests
