Job Requirements

  • Obtain and maintain current food handlers card
  • previous management related experience
  • ability to accurately handle cash and work with numbers
  • excellent customer service and communication skills
  • flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • ability to remain calm and focused in high volume, deadline oriented work environment
  • safely lift and carry heavy objects with or without assistance
  • ability to effectively manage others professionally

  • work in and around hot kitchen areas
  • work long periods on feet including walking, stair climbing and working outdoors in varied weather conditions

Job Duties

  • Assist in overseeing and training kitchen staff on duty
  • adhere to and enforce portioning guidelines
  • maintain consistent communication with the Pub Manager
  • enforce and adhere to McMenamins policies and procedures
  • ensure timely food expediting
  • oversee product quality and presentation
  • maintain and breakdown service and work areas to keep them well stocked and organized
  • regulate labor
  • oversee side work and cleaning duties
  • supervise and train staff
  • perform administrative duties such as scheduling and payroll
  • effectively address personnel and customer service issues
  • count and distribute tip pool
  • perform responsibilities of prep cook, line cook, and dishwasher as needed
  • troubleshoot problems during shifts
  • fill in for head manager during absences
  • comply with safety standards and report concerns
  • stay informed about company events, history, and products
  • other duties as assigned
