Job Requirements
- Must possess a valid state driver s license or commercial driver s license CDL
- Must have knowledge and skills necessary to operate a motor vehicle safely
- Must pass applicable background checks e g Federal DOD Security Clearance
- Must pass the GSA defensive driving course
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 40 lbs regularly
- Must have one year of progressive clerical, office, or retail sales experience or equivalent education
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must adhere to NEX dress code and uniform standards
- Must be able to interact professionally with customers and coworkers
Job Qualifications
- One year of progressive clerical, office, or retail sales experience with customer interaction
- Knowledge and skills in retail fundamentals including sales, vending, store operations, and warehouse management
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely
- Completion of GSA defensive driving course
- Ability to use electronic inventory devices
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization standards
- Basic mechanical skills for machine adjustments
Job Duties
- Maintains Exchange owned machines and Micro markets daily
- Inspects and replenishes products including sandwiches, cakes, pies, popcorn, salads, fruits, pastry, sodas, yogurt, laundry detergent
- Ensures adherence to product shelf-life dates and removes expired or spoiled items
- Greets customers and provides sales assistance, recommending complementary merchandise
- Ensures assigned areas are fully stocked and merchandise is neatly arranged
- Communicates with supervisor regarding stock and customer preferences
- Participates in department meetings to discuss customer service improvements and sales goals
- Sets up and maintains prices and Exchange branded visual programs in micro markets
- Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of micro markets
- Assists in resetting merchandise layout annually
- Uses electronic devices for inventory, receiving, and ordering
- Assists in relocating and installing new machines
- Performs settings and adjustments on food and coin dispensing units
- Collects money from vending machines and kiosks
- Accompanies vending contractors when required
- Records machine servicing data and prepares cash collection slips
- Clears coin jams and processes refunds
- Controls inventory in vending and micro market systems
- Collects daily cash, verifies receipts, and prepares daily cash reports
- Purchases coins and handles cash transactions
- Interacts with customers and coworkers professionally
- Becomes knowledgeable about merchandise and communicates product details
- Operates motor vehicle for job duties
- Loads and unloads merchandise safely
- Prepares and maintains daily trip reports
- Adheres to vehicle preventive maintenance schedules
- Maintains fuel levels and manages related receipts
- Keeps vehicle interior clean
- Performs other related duties
- Lifts and transports moderately heavy objects
- Performs regular walking, bending, and reaching
