Job Requirements

  • Relevant hospitality or hotel management qualification
  • Proven experience in hotel operations management
  • Experience managing front office, accommodation, maintenance, and BOH operations
  • Strong leadership and team management experience
  • Ability to carry 10 lbs
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
  • Proficiency in English
  • Understanding of hotel legislation and compliance
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Contribute to the overall profitability of the property
  • Be aware of budget guidelines and assist in preparation of annual budgets
  • Maintain highest quality standard of customer service
  • Report accidents and incidents through correct communication channels
  • Seek and implement better and new standards for the hotel
  • Stay updated with all legislation related to the hotel
  • Collaborate closely with all hotel departments
  • Present professionally at all times
  • Communicate staff handbook details to all departments
  • Coordinate and conduct staff training focusing on front office, accommodation, and maintenance
  • Manage and monitor Manager on Duty role and inform Managing Director of incidents
  • Be a proactive manager
  • Set, monitor, and maintain standards in main areas of responsibility
  • Conduct weekly walk-throughs with management team and report maintenance needs
  • Implement room quality audits with accommodation manager
  • Conduct weekly CRM system meetings and produce reports
  • Work with third-party operators and vendors
  • Ensure correct staffing levels following budget guidelines
  • Manage holidays within departments
  • Produce and distribute weekly Manager on Duty schedule
  • Maintain varied staff restaurant menus and condition
  • Work with Engineering and Housekeeping managers to ensure BOH areas are maintained
  • Host morning and operations meetings in absence of Managing Director
  • Attend Executive Planning Committee monthly meetings
  • Report maintenance issues through correct channels
  • Ensure training records are updated and training objectives met
  • Assist Managing Director with valet operations and standards
  • Manage hotel lobby shop merchandise
  • Manage the hotel VIP program
