Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or cooking certification preferred
  • at least 2 years of experience cooking in a high volume institutional catering environment preferred
  • must have strong efficiency in knife skills
  • must be able to read, write and understand English
  • must be able to use fingers and hands to handle equipment
  • must be able to lift and push 50 plus lbs
  • must be able to stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during shift of 8 plus hours
  • must be flexible and able to react to changing priorities
  • must have an understanding of various cooking techniques and the ability to follow recipes
  • must have strong organizational skills
  • must have a strong understanding of food safety and HACCP regulations
