Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • preferred bachelor’s degree in hotel, restaurant management, business, or related field or equivalent experience
  • minimum five years food service experience with two years in management
  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager or ANSI approved certification required within 90 days of hire
  • ability to comply with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
  • capability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, use hands, talk, and hear regularly
  • ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • vision abilities including close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • ability to move within workspace to access equipment and supplies
  • regular and predictable attendance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • bachelor’s degree in hotel or restaurant management, business, or related field preferred
  • five years progressively responsible food service experience
  • at least two years management experience
  • room service management preferred
  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification or equivalent required within three months of hire

Job Duties

  • Plan and supervise special functions
  • maintain cash controls
  • oversee the hiring and training of hourly team members
  • direct staff to provide scheduled retail services in compliance with policies and standards
  • complete all required reports timely
  • communicate effectively with team members, staff, patients, and families
  • manage day-to-day food service operations
  • develop and maintain schedules and payroll records
  • provide mandatory training sessions
  • coordinate catering events
  • market merchandise
  • collaborate with purchasing and leadership on product enhancements
  • ensure customer satisfaction and good public relations
  • train staff in customer service, portioning, cashier skills, safety, and sanitation
  • maintain consistent speed of service
  • interact with customers to assess satisfaction and provide service recovery
  • comply with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures
  • follow infection control and safety protocols
  • ensure timely and accurate meal delivery aligning with dietary guidelines
  • maintain regular attendance
  • perform other related duties as assigned
