Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role preferably in hospitality
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation or property management systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Front Desk Agent in a hotel or high-volume customer service environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Ability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of point-of-sale systems desirable
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and complete the registration process including inputting and retrieving information from the computer
  • Confirm guest information and room rates
  • Select and assign rooms
  • Code electronic keys for guests
  • Assist guests with check-out ensuring accurate billing and use of the point-of-sale system
  • Handle money, process credit and debit card payments, accept and record various payment forms including gift certificates and cards
  • Convert foreign currency and make change
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and local area
  • Answer guest questions and inquiries
  • Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize room occupancy
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely and friendly manner
  • Resolve guest complaints including researching and negotiating solutions for guest satisfaction
