Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years previous experience as front desk supervisor or four years front office experience
  • Strong knowledge of hotel front office procedures
  • Working knowledge of guest services and hotel operations
  • High school level math aptitude and cash handling experience
  • Experience in direct public contact and customer service
  • Fluent in oral and written English
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organization
  • Ability to use tact in stressful situations

Job Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of guest services, hotel policies, and operations
  • High school level mathematical aptitude and cash handling skills
  • Experience dealing directly with the public and customer service
  • Fluency in oral and written English
  • Ability to handle stressful customer service situations tactfully
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and literacy skills

Job Duties

  • Greet and check-in arriving guests using manual and computerized methods
  • Facilitate guest check-out and close accounts accurately
  • Supervise front desk team performing cash handling and posting charges
  • Respond courteously to guest inquiries and accept reservations
  • Maintain good guest relations by providing information about local events and services
  • Operate PBX equipment for calls and wake-up scheduling
  • Coordinate guest service efforts including group arrivals, departures, and transportation
  • Assist with training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Manage inventory and order supplies while minimizing expenses
  • Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally
  • Implement emergency procedures to protect guests and staff
  • Participate in hotel safety meetings and manager on duty program
