Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Nutrition, Food Systems Management, or Hospitality Management or equivalent work experience
- Five years or more of operations, financial management, and leadership experience in a fast paced food environment
- Food Protection Manager Certification and Allergen Certification required within 90 days of hire
- Self-directed and strong interpersonal skills both verbal and written
- Excellent organization skills, problem identification and solving skills
- Conflict resolution skills
- Ability to compile and summarize management reports and prepare PowerPoint presentations
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Delivers operational performance by executing on Rush’s and regulatory agencies standards and programs
- Continually monitors operations for areas of improvement and develops necessary action plans to provide optimal food and nutrition services
- Plans, organizes, and manages resources and activities to align with the strategic plan
- Assures food and nutritional needs of patients are met and effectively evaluated using appropriate software
- Collaborates with AVP/Senior Director to develop emergency preparedness plans for safe food supply
- Develops unit budgets, allocates resources, monitors financials, and submits reports with action plans
- Defines staffing needs and oversees HR functions including hiring, onboarding, and staff development
- Maintains liaison with other departments and fosters communication through meetings
- Develops and implements concepts for retail units
