Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of three years related experience in customer service or call center environment
- Preferred experience in fleet dispatching or paratransit scheduling
- Knowledge of Houston street system
- Knowledge of radio communication procedures and terminology
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and related software
- Ability to handle high stress and multitasking
- Compliance with DOT and FTA drug and alcohol testing policies

Job Duties
- Oversees METROLift and curb2curb service delivery to include directing drivers, street supervisors and maintenance personnel while on the road
- Uses a PC based dispatching system and METRO’s Micro Transit On-Demand Dynamic software to track disabled patron pick-ups
- Monitors curb2curb service and METROLift’s Same Day Trip Program
- Identifies and assigns alternative vehicles to prevent or recover from service interruptions
- Communicates schedule updates and trip assignment changes to drivers
- Answers customer calls regarding trip verification, cancellations, and service information
- Documents customer interactions and schedule changes in the dispatch system
- Manages crisis calls and implements corrective action
- Monitors street issues to avoid delays and reports driver misconduct
- Reports vehicle breakdowns, accidents, and road calls to appropriate authorities
- Applies Safety Management System principles and promotes workplace safety
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
