Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in government or commercial food service
  • clearance through criminal background investigation and pre-employment drug screening required
  • ability to obtain a food handler’s card
  • reliable transportation
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • physical ability to lift/move up to 50lbs frequently
  • ability to stand for four or more hours
  • free of communicable diseases including tuberculosis in communicable form

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Set up scullery and pot and pan room
  • wash dishes, pots and pans, and other cooking utensils
  • sweep and mop floors
  • bus and clean tables
  • clean kitchen and dining areas, refrigerators, and cooking equipment
  • clean restrooms
  • set up the serving line before the meal period and break down/clean the serving line after the meal period is over
  • follow all procedures and safety regulations
  • promptly report accidents, critical incidents, and/or injuries
  • work as part of a team
  • take direction and follow the Supervisor's directions
  • accept feedback on performance and be able to correct any deficiencies noted
  • perform other duties as assigned
